ABOUT ME

I have lived in Ottawa for 5 years, and I have decided that it is finally time to branch out now that I am done university. I joined SWAP and arrived in London on the 6th of March. I lived in a hostel for a bit then got an apartment. I got a job over there and I spent a lot of my time travelling with new friends. While in London I met my husband and I moved to Toronto to be closer to him so we could do long distance for a while. We have been married over a year now and I have just moved to Miami to finally be with him. I am a pretty laid back person, there isn't much people can do to make me mad at them. I like to think that I am easy to talk to, and I enjoy meeting new people (especially CSers because they are awesome!) and doing new things.

PHILOSOPHY

The memories you make when you are young are going to be told to your future kids, so they might as well be cool.
Be nice to people, because being cruel is too common and useless.

People! I have a degree in Anthropology and Sociology, and I took a lot of Psychology classes in university as well, so I guess I am a nerd for people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a movie fanatic, I love going to the movies and would go every day if I could, it is the cheapest way I know to go anywhere in the world that you want. For books I have always enjoyed nonfiction especially Malcolm Gladwell and Chuck Klosterman. But my husband is currently expanding my base to the classics as well as the dark genius that is Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing experience I have had to date is when I went on a boat trip in the summer with my parents to Kingston. We anchored our boat right outside the boat house of Heart Castle and I got to watch the sun set behind the castle, it was single handedly the most amazingly beautiful thing I have ever seen.
