About Me

CURRENT MISSION

traveling to usa and canada

ABOUT ME

Hi. I am Jo. At the moment I am traveling together with my friend Maria in the US and Canada...so far it is a great experience and a lot of fun. When I am not traveling I am living in Berlin, Germany, studying art history, visual and gender studies.

PHILOSOPHY

Stay true.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed couches in Eastern Europe and Morocco and it has been great. I surfed a lot more couches but not via the couchsurfing page, so I don't know if that counts;) I think it's the best to stay with people, get to know each other and share time and stories together while traveling!

I would see myself as quite an easy guest..I am happy if somebody has time to spend together or show around but I also try to be as less as burden for the host and be independent and flexible.

Interests

traveling, arts, yoga, feminism, philosophy, politics, coffee, good books and movies, dancing..and cats:)

Music, Movies & Books

I am listening to very different kinds of music, but to give a few examples what I really like: Beach House, Efterklang, Patti Smith, Sookee, Kaki King, Rae Spoon, Warpaint, Bon Iver, Chancha via Circuito, ChicoTrujillo,.. Literature I consider an important part of my daily life as I am always having a book in my bag. I realized even traveling I can't walk by a bookstore without going inside. It's hard to say what my favorites books are. I like to read theoretical stuff as butler, hooks, foucault etc but also novels by toni morrison, siri hustvedt, paul auster and many more.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Traveling six month from Chile to mexico was defintely a big and wonderful time in my so far life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Little yoga, vegan cooking, knitting, how to look on art and find it interesting:)
