I spent 32 yrs away from Chile. Lived in the United States, mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area(California)where I studied, worked in different occupations including teaching, journalism, english-spanish translations, construction, taxi driving, and social work. I visited and lived in many places in the US. Travelled in europe (mostly in france, spain, and italy)and became quite familiar with the italian and french languages. Travelled in Mexico too. Mexico is perhaps my favorite place. There is something about Mexico that is quite attractive and enchanting.I will like to visit the Veracruz area and Yucatan peninsula in the not too far future again. For the mean time I'm in the process of getting to know my own country and my own people, which has been quite an exciting experience if not a "cultural shock". I can only say that the changes that have taken place in Chile in the last thirty yrs have been drastic.
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is only a beginning for me. It´s been perhaps two weeks since I signed up to welcome couch surfers. So, in reality I´m not participating yet. I think it´s a great project and it could be quite a good formative experience, specially for young people, to get to know the world without those extreme limitations that money imposes on people.
Languages, world politic, psychology, travelling.
