ABOUT ME

Life to-do list: obtain a PhD, run for office, visit each continent, publish a book, and fly a helicopter.

Things I do:
I make to-do lists, design them into visually elaborate calendar images and then set them as my desktop background until they're done, after which I replace them with vacation photos. If you come stay with me, I will consider our time together a vacation, and you could make it into one of the photos! I know, right? Living the dream.

I've had lots of jobs so far, working for theatre companies, a brewery, the ontario science centre, lots of serving/bartending, teaching piano, office work, etc. and with a lighting designer roommate and a pro poker player boyfriend, unconventional lifestyles mesh well with me. I'm consistently inspired by people who manage to really live while making ends meet, and look forward to your stories of how you keep it all together!

As a grad student, I feel strangely compelled to share my research interests with you, and so they involve news media content and policy. I take an extreme interest in public issues, and particularly appreciate universal things - healthcare, education, housing for all. This includes couches.
