ABOUT ME

We are Mallory and Terra. We love candy. We smile most of the time, and we love learning languages. We love to dance even though it may be somewhat goofy. We have loved traveling and experiencing new places. We like trying new things. We consider life a privilege and we dedicate ourselves to social responsibility.
Mallory enjoyed trying to learn tango when she was in Argentina. Terra had an incredible time learning Spanish in central Mexico. We are college students. Mallory is from Florida and Terra is from California and we are embarking on our first and maybe only road trip across the country. We have experienced places outside the U.S. but are excited to have the opportunity to get to know our own country a little better.

PHILOSOPHY

To treat people with respect and have as much fun as possible. To be there for people when they need you the most.

We are two college students who have just joined the couch surfing community. We are excited about couch surfing and can't wait to surf our first couch!

Interests

For Mallory: theatre, talking in spanish, dancing: swing, salsa, goofy dancing, etc., working with kids, reading, good conversations late into the night, going to coffee shops, wearing colors that don't match, Halloween, playing in the waves
For Terra: Candy, learning languages (Spanish and French, so far), the New York Times, teaching, poetry, baking, singing, dancing, organic farming, live music, resistance art, being engaged in the community,trying new things, history, cats

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Terra:
I have seen the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacán, México. I climbed it and it took my breath away.

Mallory: I have gone hangliding off of mountain that overlooked a beach in Turkey. It was the scariest but most invigorating thing that I have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mallory can share skills on most topics related to theater, feminist activism, swing dancing, tango, and part of a breakdancing move.
Terra can share skills relating to organic gardening, work and teaching in prisons, and general community organizing/activism. She also speaks some French.
Both of us are fluent in Spanish.
