onwards, inwards, outwards, and --with a bit of luck-- upwards
I like to have a good time in different and engaging ways, and I find that my own thoughts and ideas crystallize best when engaged in dialogue with others. So, naturally I seek out those with something interesting to say. After all, much can be shared over a few cold beers. I'm a firm believer that one can learn by availing oneself to different people. A bit of contrast makes all the colors brighter, right?
If its that way, then its okay. Trust me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Im looking to help out when and where I can.
Extensive off the network, but I am making the decision to confront what some might call technophobia and enlist in a social networking site. I've travelled a fair bit and been offered help. Similarly, I've done what I can to offer other travellers some kindness and support. May as well get organized!
Definitely music / art , I like playing a bit of funky guitar and like it even better with some more ingredients in the stew i.e. hand drums, bass, improvised instruments. I've dabbled in some physical art with lampwork glass art, but find myself less inclined to physical media.
I've recently come to terms with my being a big movie geek as well. I suppose its good to embrace those things about oneself.
Aside from those, my interests range widely and contently from one thing to another. I love a good discussion, and in the absence of one I occasionally find myself playing devil's advocate out of boredom. I try to reign it in though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycled from the North to the South of Vietnam in 25 days and helped raise $45,000 for underprivileged youth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I find with travellers that most have something to share or contribute. This is encouraging. Having a balance where someone is able to share and accept, or more clearly, speak and listen, is a delicate balance that can be missed.
