About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fighting the dark side of the moon and waking up the morning after.

ABOUT ME

oh la! Can I lay down on your couch to talk about it?

I am an accidentally self-made journalist who now covers West Africa for different medias (written press, radio, tv).

I am curious and eager to see more, open-minded and respectful.

I moved a lot in the last years and I am living in my bags.

I am simple and I love to listen to people stories...

PHILOSOPHY

Just do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Writing this profile is a good beginning. I'll see soon how I can help when I'll be back in Dakar.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I am a CS virgin. Hopefully will be a good one!

Interests

Books, books, too much books, as entertainment is limited in Dakar. Nevertheless, I take a great enjoyment with photography, museum, theater, movies and so many other things. I like politics and storytelling. I like grass where you can lie down and look at the sky. I like the ocean and its strong air.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Kieslowski, Todd Solondz, Lars Von Triers, well... I think I have a passion for depressing movies. But I am not depressing I swear! I do watch and enjoy light-hearted comedy.

Books: Any books from Dostoievski to Stieg Larsson, essays on politics and philosophy, well... this list could fill this box.

Music: Depeche Mode, Antony and the Johnsons, MIA, Habib Koite, a lot of African stuff, Katerine, Sebastien Tellier, Coldplay, Wagner. I like an incredible range of thing and I am always ready to learn more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hum... boating on the Niger river till Timbuktu. Taking the train between Dakar and Bamako... I dont know. I think the most amazing thing done should be Life, in general.

Teach, Learn, Share

M.A in Political Science, but became, over the years, a story-gatherer on West African political, social and cultural situation.
