ABOUT ME

I'm a product of what happens when an impressionable youth watches Easy Rider too often. A few years ago I bought a motorcycle and cruised North America. Scared, excited, anxious doesn't even cover it; curiosity is a good word. I'm curious for myself and to see what other people are like in a place which is foreign to me.

I learned a lot about myself at university and a lot about history and was really interested in the philosophers and wanderers of ancient Greece. Then, when I discovered my love of Easy Rider, voila... a new wanderer was born, one with an eye to the future and a curiosity of the past.

I have no time constraints so I'm doing things how I want to do them. I hope to meet people who like to do things their own way as well... real people.

PHILOSOPHY

We need to stop looking at the end as the only-thing-that-matters. The means to reaching that end is where we reveal who we are because if we've sacrificed something of ourselves to reach that end then we've failed ourselves and those around us. I won't look back on my life and say, I blew it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet used CS but I'm hoping to travel to Istanbul and meet some people and then find my own apartment there for a few months and host others who wish to come see that city and discover it with me!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I'd like people to better understand the importance of exchange... it is at the basis of society, the person to person exchange. In order to properly and meaningfully do that we need to cultivate ourselves and that is something I am working on as well.
