I am a Raleighite, I was born in Raleigh and will die in Raleigh, but enjoy going all over and seeing different ways of doing things. I like having a home base, since having strong roots lets you hang out farther over the water. Also my preference for my local ways allows me to understand other people's preference for theirs.

Just started and attended my first get together today (2/10).

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a lot of different music styles: Classical, jazz, blues, classic rock, rock and roll, big band, punk.
My reading tends to be non-fiction, especially history and classic fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most interesting thing has been learning how to sail a tall ship. I spent a year and a half as a volunteer on a tall ship and then was able to help sail her. As someone who lived inland, I never thought that I would be able to get to do this.
