ABOUT ME

Since my civilian service has just ended , this is really the first time I'm free to do whatever I want ,so I'm not planning to waste this opportunity . Thus ,I'll spend the next year in China assisting English teachers.Basically , I'm an open-minded and easy-going person and as everybody else I have my fair share of shortcomings like postponing rather important matters just because they don't seem like fun ,but nothing you should be worried about as a host , I won't a mess or anything .

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently offering a apartment-like room above our garage including a bathroom ,cooker and even a sauna ,but my home town ,to be honest ,isn't what you would call a buzzing city . As soon as I start studying in some city , I will offer a couch there .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well ,as I have just joined , none at all ,but some friends of mine and me will spend the next three weeks travelling around Europe via interrail ,so that might just be the first occasion .

Interests

I'm interessted in a great deal of things , like foreign cultures and languages and I'm constantly trying to learn a language ,fully knowing that my self-teaching approach has its limits and shortcomings.
Moreover I'm fascinated with scientific subjects such as astrophysics ,evolution and I'm into politics and history . Well ,I can get pretty excited talking about the fundamentally different priciples the languages of the world are based and their varios quirks ,which will puzzle some people ,I guess

movies: Lost in Translation , most movies by the Coen brothers ( no country for old men, etc.), Sin City , Pulp Fiction , movies by Charlie Kaufmann ( eternal sunshine on aspotless mind etc.), well and star wars , come on , everybody likes star wars (except for women)
music:Tool ,Portishead , Opeth , Paolo Conte , The Prodigy , Body Count , Metallica , Tenacious D ,well I guess all in all I'm pretty open-minded with regard to music ,there's no genre I'm generally opposed to

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well , I have just served my time in the civilian service so didn't really have any opportunity to do a lot of travelling after graduating from school .But I'll spend a year in China , starting in july, and we're currently planning a interrail tour.

I'm afraid ,I don't have much to teach except for some stupid drinking games ,but I'm always glad to be taught something new.
