CURRENT MISSION

My curent goal is to traverse the country on a search for self. I am looking for my center, my focal point off which to launch the rest of my life.

ABOUT ME

Well, my name is Tamahl Rahaman. I am a 21 yr old photographer. I haven't been able to travel much in the past so I decided to trek across the country with a few of my friends we will be seperating and reconnecting throughout our travels. I am hoping to make a 2 month journey through the country and end up in Colorado where I plan to base myself and then branch out into the rest of the midwest. While I am in the midwest I want to spend my time photographing the ghost towns out there.

PHILOSOPHY

I have many its sometimes hard to live thru... lol
But basically I see it like this:
#1 Golden Rule: Do onto others as you want done unto you.
#2 Live as if every moment was holy. Appreciate every moment of life. Use all the negative for a good cause. Use all the positive for a better cause.
#3 Every time some one looks at you it's because they have something to say to you. Something pleasant or unpleasant or even neither. Why not find out what it is?
#4 Pain is weakness leaving the body.
#5 Struggle breeds progression.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the next 2 months I have pleanty of space open for anyone looking to travel through New York. As of 8/1 I will be departing for my trip. Once I settle down again I will definatley have couch pace available for all and any who are part of the CS community!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I dont have much experience traveling through out unknown areas on couches, but I have had to couch surf Brooklyn when I was looking for my current apt. It was a good way to learn about those around and feel out the neighborhood with out getting attached.
While I lived in Park Slope, Brooklyn, I had many people who passed thorugh the same house mostly from France. I think they had a great time having a base of friendly faces to go to every night.
