Have a good buzz and get some writing done while I'm at it
My name is Tim Sturtridge and I love life. I have always had a buzz for getting around and meeting new people and seeing new places. I am currently living in Buenos Aires and cannot recommend it enough for anyone who is thinking of paying a visit. I hope to see more of South America before my time is up because what I have seen so far has left me thirst for more. I work as a freelance football journalist and keep tabs on the scene over here for various newspapers, magazines and websites. One motivation for joining Couch Surfing is I plan to visit South Africa for the 2010 World Cup and hope to meet the people of the country as I write a book covering the tournament.
There's two options in life, buzz or buzz out your head. The secret third option is go for a nap.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My living situation in Buenos Aires means that at present I cannot host but I will change that as soon as I can. I hope I can help people out in other ways however. If anybody needs any tips on what to do or see while in Argentina get in touch and I will try to put you in know. Perhaps meet up for a cheeky fernet or two. Also I spent a while in London so if anybody needed any help getting to grips there I would be happy to help.
Apart from crashing with friends after a heavy night on sauce or as a result of a barney with the missus my couch experiences are a little thin on the ground. When I first moved up to London I did sleep on the floor of my Swedish friend's room for 3 months until I found my feet. Don't worry I won't be staying that long with you!
With my work a healthy interest in football is inevitable. I also like to play lots of other sports including golf, tennis, rugby, cricket and darts. In saying that I would not describe myself as a health freak and do enjoy a few drinks and a chunky Argentine steak. Also enjoy listening to music, mostly Bob Dylan, The Kinks and The Kings Of Leon at the moment. I played bass guitar in a band a few years back to mixed reviews (bad and very bad).
