I teach Italian literature so I spend a lot of my time reading that. I like a good tortured soul and big fat Russian novels are also a big favourite.

Top film has to be "Man on Wire" (tightrope walking at its incomprehensible best)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting the Hijras in the Mumbai slums, and getting the train from Cambridge (UK) to Xiamen (China). Hard work but well worth it!
