ABOUT ME

I love new experiences and expanding my perspective on things. Dancing is a massive passion, especially Brazilian Samba and ocean swims are a MUST for me... all year round.

My parents are massive role models to me... the older I get, the more I appreciate how whacky, ecclectic and full of integrity they both are.

I love my brother, he is younger and constantly playing jokes on people... never failing to make me laugh.

Spontaneity and the ability to adapt to 'inconvenient' or even potentially bad situations is important to me.

I love feeling fulfilled from my job, supporting young people living with cancer... which is why I quit my hotel sales job to give the not for profit industry a go.

I adore cooking (organic fresh food if possible... but whatever is ok too!), yoga, the beach and learning languages.

I believe everyone you meet can teach you something... sometimes not always something you want to know.

Fresh cold mountain water feels amazing when you just jump right in... which is how I tend to live life.

I look forward to meeting new people who are obviously generous and open hearted to be offering their personal space in the first place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am backpacking for about 1 year (if my money lasts... which aint going so well!) so am surfing only.

However, once settled I would love to offer my own couch... couch kharma I guess?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had an amazing four nights in the heart of Paris with a great guy. Met locals straight away and received travel tips I would not normally receive in a hostel. About to couch surf for 3 more nights in Madrid, cant wait!

Love reading although am a SLOW reader... Shantaram has been my favourite book this year although really enjoyed Marching Powder too (about San Pedro Prison in Bolivia).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Danced in front of thousands of people (Brazilian Samba with sequins.. feathers and all) for Sydney's Mardi Gras. SO exhilirating!

Swam with pink dolphins in the amazon river, Bolivia.

Ran a community project for the public children's hospital in Salta, Argentina and got together locals to paint murals for every ward.

Held down the same job for two years straight... AND lived in one place for the same two years... RECORD!!!! WOOHOO!

Those who often have skills OPPOSITE to mine... eg I am shocking with technology... directions....mechanics and science. I love learning about this and really admire people who can both understand it all AND explain it in layman's terms to a pleb like me!
