ABOUT ME

I like to think of myself as interesting and full of contrasts (like being dislectic and learning languages), but it may be that I'm just plain crazy. =} I'm a bit scaterbrained as I'm constantly distracted by the milion and one idea a minute that keep going through my head.

I don't lie on the Net, though I'm a bit more bold in speaking my mind than in RL.

I've just joined, so at the moment I don't do much at all.

Interests

I'm a fanatic of any type of writting: classics, fantasy, Internet fanfiction, you name it. I dabble in the fanfiction a little bit (the slash variety, since it's fun twisting the facts to fit) and try to assemble a book of short stories of my own.

I'm also interested in any other form of art there is. My favourite painters include Bosch, Mucha and Beksiński. In contrast, I've just discovered and follow a few webcomics.

From more minor interests there are: mythology and religions wordwide, science (most prominent - astronomy), biology (genetics and medicine), animals (love cats, but have a Yorkshire Terier; horses, snakes), gardening, baking and cooking, teh Internet.

I do not list traveling, since me being here sort of speaks for itself, doesn't it?

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok. Too much to actually list, so I'll just describe my policy in that regard: I watch, listen to, and read virtually anything I'm presented with and assess them on a case to case bassis.

And so my favourite movies encompass 'Lethal Weapon' series, 'Rocky Horror Picture Show', 'Notes on a Scandal', and 'Schindler's list'. My music file on my PC has everything from Bach to heavy metal. And on my shelf 'Diune' stands between 'Harry Potter' and 'Divine Comedy' and 'Wuhering Heights'. Oh, and my TV soaps range from 'Queer as Folk', through 'Ugly Betty' (the original) and 'My Family', to 'CSI: Las Vegas'.

Huh. Languages IS my forte, and I acctually have finished a course in pedagogy as part of my BA, so that's something I can do.

I'd like to learn Japanese. Also, anything to do with art would be great.
