I enjoy a good book, singing at the top of my lungs when I think no one is home, sculpture, painting, judo, and traveling when I can. I am eager to learn new things and share stories, food and music with people.
I've done some Couchsurfing in India, Brasil and the U.S. and hosted folks quite a bit in the past. My partner and I will be traveling in 2017 -- looking forward to couch crashing, meeting new folks (especially artists) this next year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Transnational connections. Art & social justice connections. Meeting good people.
I like playing scrabble. I like learning new languages. I also like taping my roommate's shoes to the ceiling and watching him search for them all day in his room. Sass, humor. I also enjoy traveling.
Music, Movies, and Books
O Caminho das Nuvens. Goodbye Lenin. Water.
Symptomatic. You Are Free. Drown. Borderlands. Loving in the War Years. Most things Danzy Senna and Gloria Anzaldua.
Macy Gray. Kali Uchis. Carla Morrison. Ana Tijoux. Tracy Chapman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent the night in a coconut grove. Hung out in Hubli Disneyland in India.
Amazing is also enjoying a good book, some coffee or a warm, sunny day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Sarcasm and puns. Good politics, history conversations. Fun times in the kitchen cooking, singing and cracking jokes.
