ABOUT ME

I'm a primary school teacher taking a break from finger painting to travel the world. So far on this trip I've done a season in Hokkaido, Japan, travelled across India by train, cycled through Germany and visited loads of English (and Scottish) pubs. Finally, I arrived in the United States where I've been to New York, Chicago, San Diego and Las Vegas. We have never couch surfed before and I'm excited to think that we could meet some awesome people who know the area and can share with us the greatest places and a little local knowledge.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that you only live once and you only get one chance. I'm trying to have my cake, eat it and share it with as many people as possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have heard through the grapevine that couch surfing is awesome. My experiences are limited to crashing with friends or friends of friends. It's always turned out great!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to most music (just went and saw Old Crow Medicine Show at 4th and B in San Diego)I love films and watch them all the time (really looking forward to seeing Zombieland) I read all the time, anything I can get (just finished Watership down. Yes, it is a book about rabbits)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a van for three months as I drove around Japan. Japan is amazing. I survived three months in a van without going crazy, amazing. My boyfriend still likes me after that, amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - book ahead for tickets on trains in India or you get stuck. Oh, and there is an official information office AT THE STATION.

Learn - I would like to know how to travel with a 10kg pack! I carry way too much for my own liking!

Share - The Staton Island ferry is free and a great way to see the Statue of Liberty... especially on a beautiful day.
