About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to Porto and walk the Santiago route from there!

ABOUT ME

Philippe, 29, is from Montreal and he has spent a month in Champagne, France at a vineyard helping with picking grapes. He plans to go back to France to work in Grenoble. Farshid, 26, is coming from Halifax, Canada. He is backpacking across Europe (has already been to Iceland, the Netherlands and is now travelling in Spain and Portugal).
We met in Barcelona last week. Over a bag of clementines we realized that we have similar interests. We decided to go to Porto and do the Santiago De Compostelo Route from there. On the way we are planning to pass over Madrid, and stay a few days in Porto as well before starting our walk. We can talk about anything from music and arts to wax musuems and starting a beer-selling business on the streets of Barcelona. We are extremely opposed to limitation on the number of toasts for breakfast in youth hostels.

PHILOSOPHY

Music, arts, wax musuems, and selling beer in the streets of Barcelona.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are just starting to become familiar with couch surfing. We hope to have a good experience doing so. In return, our couches will be open to you upon our glorious returns to Canada (Halifax and Montreal!).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. But it's never too late.

Interests

Music, arts, wax musuems, and selling beer in the streets of Barcelona.

Music, Movies & Books

Anything about Music, arts, wax musuems, and selling beer in the streets of Barcelona.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Interestingly enough, we had read seperately about doing the Santiago route and had thought about doing it. We think that it was not a coincidence that we met in Barcelona and talked about this. We think this experience will be the most amazing thing we have done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Aside from all jokes, we think this will be a great opportunity to meet people and hear all they have to tell about the city they live in. This way we can learn how people around the world are different -and often times the same- in the way they live their day-to-day lives.
