ABOUT ME

All about me in one paragraph, hmm... Well, I love humor, the arts (music, literature, theater), God, and people - like my mission implies (don't worry, I don't beat the Bible over people's heads!). I believe in Jesus Christ and find much joy in my relationship with him, so naturally I'll talk about it. I really love people and building relationships, and I'd like to think I'm a caring person. Personality-wise I'm funny, really easy-going, chill, good at conversation, polite, and non-confrontational. I like to have fun. I love people, and traveling, and learning - so any chance to experience all those things at one time sounds great. You can see some of my interests below...

PHILOSOPHY

Love Jesus; love people - and the two go hand in hand. I live my life for Jesus Christ because he saved me and I love him. He gives me so much joy, and I want other people to know that joy through relationship with him. I'm NOT going to beat your head with the Bible; I'm not like that. but that is my philosophy, and that's what I live for.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really just started, and this summer will (hopefully, if people host me) be my first couch-surfing experience. I am traveling right now, so I can't host, but when I get back to school my roommate and I would love to give up our beds for some travelers. And I haven't been contacted for social exchange but I'd be willing to do that too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, nothing with couchsurfing.org but I was in choir in high school and freshman year of college, and when we went on tour we would stay in peoples' homes, and that was always a lot of fun. I have been blessed by a lot of people's hospitality.

Intereses

Music (songwriting, playing, and listening), Literature (reading and writing it), Improv Comedy (I'm on a team back home), Movies, Theater (pretty much in art form). I love people and different cultures and traveling. I like the Bible and theology. Sports; I like them a bit but I don't get jazzed about 'em. I also am getting interested in food lately...

Movies: Coen brother films, anything Tom Hanks has put his hands on. Hook, Finding Neverland, Little Miss Sunshine, Pans Labrynth, Fight Club. There are more but that's a good sample.
Music: Brand New, Bright Eyes, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Iron & Wine, Band of Horses, mewithoutyou, Manchester Orchestra, Death Cab for Cutie.
Books: the Bible, Singer Trilogy, classic literature like Frankenstien and Hemingway's works.

I've climbed the Great Wall of China - that was awesome.

I've lived in Greece (Athens and traveled around), been to China, Egypt, Mexico, and things all over the States.
