To fearlessly explore the world
I love learning new things, maybe too much, maybe too quickly, always being distracted by the endless possibilities around us. I am now on my second student exchange (first Belgium, now South Korea), which is probably my last because I am getting too old for this. So currently I am undergoing sort of "quarter-life" crisis when I'm deciding what to do next. I hope exploring the world a bit will help me sort myself out..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started with couchsurfing by going to meetings in Brussels, then started to surf. Since then I always try to find a couch when travelling, because I like to make friends all over the world. Recently we hosted a few people in our apartment in Seoul and I realised I maybe enjoy that even more than surfing. But I'll try to find some balance in future :)
CS helped me to meet interesting people, took me places to which I would have otherwise never wandered and (last but not least) it brought Neil into my life

Generally rock music is fine, but I also enjoy live jazzBooks: Joseph Heller, George Orwell, Ayn Rand, Virginia Woolf, Dostoyevsky, Charles Dickens, Guy de Maupassant, Ray Bradbury, David Gemmell, Viktor Dyk etc etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It might sound strange that I am proud of this, but a year ago I left my family and hometown in a very tense situation to go study abroad. To go my own way after I felt I had done everything I could to help. It changed me a lot and, surprisingly, the issues at home somehow solved themselves. This time selfishness helped me to get closer to happiness and going home now, though only for a short time, is something I always look forward to.
