About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To constantly expand my horizons, gain and share as much knowledge as I can, and enjoy life to the fullest while doing it.

ABOUT ME

I play a lot of music, percussion is my thing. I live in Berea, KY right now. Its a great place, with some wonderful people. I love to ride my bicycle, read great books (philosophy, mysticism, Sherlock Holmes, almost anything). I love coffee.

PHILOSOPHY

We are all one. Not that I'm a Christian, but "God has made of one blood all peoples of the Earth" does a pretty good job of summarizing my views on humanity. My political and spiritual views are best left for a good cup of coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm relatively knew to Couch Surfing, though I have hosted several cyclists coming through on the Trans America Bicycle Route.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been graciously given places to stay on my travels and feel it my duty to offer the same generosity in return.

Interests

Good books, movies, the wilderness, cycling (never in spandex!), playing music with good people, delicious beverages, constantly evolving and getting a better understanding of myself, the world, and those around me who share it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jazz, progressive, fusion, funk, experimental, avant garde (Coltrane, MMW, Rashanim, Steve Lehman, way too many to list) I love good cinema, and I am open to just about any music/movie/book so long as it is good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played next to an Ewe Master drummer in Ghana, and had him compliment my abilities. The other amazing things I have done, I probably shouldn't post on the internet!

Teach, Learn, Share

Some of the best things I have learned have been from opening myself up either when someone has taken me in or when I have taken someone else in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Ghana, United States
