Our current mission is, basically, to make it from Amsterdam to Egypt, via Morrocco, the Meditteranean coastline and the Balkan countries. We plan to do this not as tourists, but as true travellers.
We are a pair of mates who have known each other and been best mates since we were five years old. We have travelled together twice before to Germany and Papua New Guinea. As of the 18th of April 2010 we embark on our biggest adventure yet, briefly outlined in the 'current mission' field. We've planned this trip for many years and pretty much want to do the backstreets, on as little money as possible, avoiding the tourist haunts as much as possible. And we want to have a freaking good time doing it! :). Quinten is a child of an Australian mother and Dutch father, who was born in the United States and has lived in Australia since he was five. Karl is an Australian from way back who lives on the east coast of Australia.
Quinten: Basically, I believe people should be allowed to do what they want so long as it doesn't harm others. Politically, you could call me a left-winger or a liberal. Big believer in social justice and equality. Aside from that, I see life as a series of experiences, so I'm keen to just pack in as many as possible.
Karl: Of recent time a dear friend past away, he left this poem: Every yesterday is already a dream, and each tommorrow is only a vision but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of bliss and each tommorrow a picture of anticipation, so don't fail to live now to your finest. I now live in the moment.
