About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go exploring and listen.

ABOUT ME

I work creating all kinds of sets and props for films and film promotions and a variety of other unusual situations. Most recently a giant archway for drone racing.

Prior to this I spent 3 years designing and making bespoke wooden furniture.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep what is really important in mind as I go through life, which usually involves enjoying the small things and being grateful for what I have, though this inevitably falls to wayside every now and then. Nevertheless, it is important that we all decide for ourselves what is important, rather than following blindly. I am idealistic and essentially optimistic, though I like to think I have a healthy degree of pragmatism and awareness too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past I have only participated as a surfer but would love to host people in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with a very welcoming family in Christchurch, New Zealand, and my experience seemed to capture what is great about this model; meeting new people generous enough to enjoy giving in this way and opening up to strangers.

Interests

I try to draw and write, though not nearly enough.
I enjoy cooking and eating food very much.
Reading and discussing literature is an enjoyment that survived a literature degree.
I enjoy a good discussion on just about any topic.
