ABOUT ME

I grew up in Brooklyn, went to school in Southern California but am back on the east coast figuring things out. I love to spend time outside outside - hiking, backpacking, biking - and am mostly looking to work on farms right and gain more farming experience. Food and sustainable farming has become sort of a focus of my life right now - I see it as a way to connect with the environment and local community and to allow all people to eat better, and thus to live better. I love to cook, to see music, play music, hang out with my dogs, hang out with family and friends, read, write, do creative projects. Generally am a relaxed, down-to-earth person.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live with the philosophy that everything is connected - there is a larger energy that we are a part of, that we help create and impact. I try to promote equality in my actions, to always give part of what I have, to help create justice where it is lacking. I try my best to live in harmony with the earth and the plants and animals around us. Make the world beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hoping to be part of a network that allows people to travel without money being such a concern (an economy of couches!), to meet friends all over the world, to experience the culture and community of a place more directly... I hope to be a good guest and to open my home up to others when possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, just joined! But have heard wonderful things about it from friends. Had a bicyclist roommate who participated in a similar website for bikers - we had some great bikers stay with us and I enjoyed that a lot. I've lived in lots of communal living situations and hosted and been a guest on lots of friends couches.
