Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is a great opportunity to be a tourist without being a tourist. I love to hear about people who love where they live and want to share the knowledge. This is my first couch surfing experience, as I am taking a trip out west with my boyfriend and have a some gaps to fill in. I just joined the community but can already tell that I am going to have a blast and once we return from our road trip, I will be sure to return the juju.

Oh my, where to start.
I love animals. I am an engineer, so I love to make things easier for people! It is one of my skills. I am interested in the color blue, traveling with my boyfriend Zack, helping people, walking, hiking, biking, road trips, beer, coffee, elephants, retail therapy, mismatched socks, blankets that are bigger than they need to be, scarves, being generous, letting Zack cook because I am no good, apple juice, friends and family, laughing until your stomach hurts, being goofy, sunshine, weird people, mountains, the ocean, reading, and so so so so so much more!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music. Indie music such as The Strokes, Death Cab for Cutie, The National, The Shins, Two Door Cinema Club, The Black Keys, etc. I am a 90's rock music junkie. I love Counting Crows, Sugar Ray, Blues Traveler, Eddie Vedder, Weezer and Goo Goo Dolls. Almost any music is good music.
Movies are something I enjoy, too! I am a five year old at heart so I love movies like Ratatouille, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs (1 & 2), The Lorax, and other toony movies. My top 3 favorite movies of all time, though, are Into the Wild, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and SLC Punk.
I like to read. I fell out of the habit for a while, but enjoy books like John Grisham, Stephen King, Nancy Farmer (I know, I know, they're for children), and of course some Chuck Palahniuk.
