About Me

I'm an American living and teaching in Japan! I like walking around and exploring new places. There's still a lot of the world I haven't explored and I'm ready to learn about it!

The Izu peninsula is a gorgeous place a bit removed from the main tourist areas with a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.
NOTE: I do not live close enough to Mt. Fuji for you to do an overnight climb. Please do not request if you intend to climb Mt. Fuji while staying with me.

I'm usually quite busy doing one thing or another. Somehow, an event is always happening. I'm either working, volunteering, or going to Zumba class! Because of that, I usually don't have much time to show my guests around the area, but I'm always happy to give suggestions and directions!

Fun Facts about me:
- I've lived in Japan for a total of 5 years now
- I can play the ukulele and bass guitar
- I can do some basic juggling
- I made my high school prom dress out of duck tape
- I'm the youngest in my family of 12! (2 moms, 2 dads, 1 brother, 1 sister, 3 step-brothers, 2 step-sisters, and me!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting people from all over the world and hearing their stories and travels. I love the Izu peninsula and I want to share it with more people. It's an unknown place to most tourists from abroad, but it truly is a special treasure chest of natural beauty and hot springs.
I would also like to share some kindness that I have received from others.

Interests

I volunteer at the local radio station every month. I'm volunteering for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 too!
I also love watching movies, but ever since working at the movie theater and getting to see movies for free, I'm a little sour to pay money for a movie. Haha
