About Me

I work in theater. I act, direct, build sets, and write for a local theater company that I spend all of my time at. I've learned a lot but am looking to branch out to other theaters around the country to learn more about the way other people do theater and if their values are similar to those of mine. Such as; community is an important part of life and sharing arts through community is how communities grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said before I would like to travel around the country to find more about arts and theater. I am starting this journey with a 10-day workshop in Philly and I was told I should try couch surfing to find a place to stay with interesting people who may also share my interests.

Interests

Theater, art, community, softball, drinking, talking, drinking while talking, making people laugh, laughing and other things 20 something year olds do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pentatonix, Panic at the Disco, Regina Spektor, Beyonce, a lot of other stuff
Movies: Wall e.. best movie ever, oh and Babe; Pig in the City. I don't have time for movies.
Books and Plays: A Long Way Home by Ishmael Beah, To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, Running with Scissors and Dry by Augusten Burroughs, Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett, Cleansed by Sarah Kane, Melancholy Play (and anything else she writes) by Sarah Ruhl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't really done anything amazing. I've been in a lot of plays and I do improv so I'm on stage infront of people a lot which some people find difficult. In gereral I think the most amazing thing I've done is grow so consistently in myself confidence and built character through what I love to do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some really fun games that I have learned through improv. Rhythmic and rhyming games are so much fun! I would love to exchange stories about anything. I think people become more interesting and can learn more when they can tell stories of their lives and experiences in exciting or rhythmic or just different tones.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a small town so I have hookups with a bunch of the local business owners. We have a fantastic chocolate place in town and I know a friend who can perfectly pair any wine and chocolate combination and I would love to bring those things with me to share.
