I'm just your average student, I've always had a deep passion of travelling and exploring, being mixed race I feel that I want to see all the world has to offer, learn local customs and become a world citizen.

I travel a lot, and I've always found that it's best to visit a place with someone who's local and knows al those tiny little places that the tour guides miss out on, it's really the only way to travel!

Intereses

Among other things, I'm a part-time conservationist, having worked in Central America with the endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. Other than that, I love trying new cuisine, finding small, excellent, family-run restaurants and bars and frequenting them. I love to read, am currently in the process of making my own library since my taste in books is so broad, and I love to game and watch anime. For sure, my idea of a great night out is one with close, and new, friends out at a bar or for shisha where we can actually hear each other talk, not really into those venues that make your eardrums bleed.

Música, películas y libros

Where to begin? I own over 300 movies on DVD, not including my blu-rays or show box sets! A list of my favourite movies would be too much of a challenge for a small info-box, so I'll just chuck a selection in: Kind Hearts & Coronets; Fiddler on the Roof; LOTR; Amadeus; Bond flicks (no, Quantum of Solace doesn't count); Star Wars (before it was murdered [multiple times]); Disney flicks (even if they did kill Star Wars's Expanded Universe); Indiana Jones (LOL wut 4th movie?!?); Beckett; old Ealing Studios flicks; Murder by Death; the list just goes on...

Music... Hehe, we're gonna have even more of a problem here. An avid opera fan, I also frequent Jazz bars and metal concerts, so you could say I've got quite a diverse range there :3 Guess we'll just have to compare iPods?

Books... Well I'm making it one of my life goals to create a library full of books which interest me/mean something to me/which I enjoy to leave to future generations. Call it a vanity project if you will, but my book collection is steadily growing, with key genres ranging from Poetry (both contemporaneous and older pieces), to a growing selection of religious and philosophical texts (gotta catch em all, then read them and try to understand what others believe - a small attempt at the whole walking a mile in another's shoes thing), a small selection of historical and archaeological books for periods which fascinate me (very much a in-the-mood selection), and last but not least, an extensive selection of fantasy, with emphasis on LOTR-style fantasy, and of course the goddess that is Anne Rice :3

Oh, and one of my favourite books of all time, it has to be said, is The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas :D

Algo increíble que he hecho

June 2014 - I walked El Camino De Santiago, a pilgrimage in Northern Spain, 270km across the one of the last mountainous wilderness of the Iberian Peninsula. I then hitchhiked across to the end of the world after. It was certainly a life-changing event!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'll always do my best to bring something to my hosts as a small thank you for doing me the honour of staying with them! We can talk as much or as little as you like, and hopefully we can open each others minds to new ways of thinking! We all have stories to tell, and hopefully we can share them late into the night ^.^
