Overview
About Me
I'm Allison! I'm an easy going person, born and raised in North Vancouver, Canada. I took a gap year after high school to work a winter season at the local mountain and travel without obligations. After a year of fun I started school for engineering. It only took me a couple of months to realize that it was definitely not what I wanted to be doing for the next 4 years, let alone the rest of my life. Which brings us to today! In the past 2 years I have been on many trips within Canada and the U.S., as well as travelling through some of South America and Southeast Asia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of the best memories I've made while travelling has been the people we met along the way. Couchsurfing seems like the most authentic and enjoyable way to travel!
Interests
I'm very outdoorsy, so I love snowboarding, camping, diving and hiking with my dog Meryl.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is all over the place- I was raised listening to the Who, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Cream, Dire Straits, Ten Years After, Hendrix, etc.
Today I still listen to my classic rock roots but also new rock, alternative, rap, and pretty much any other genre.
I love movies but I struggle to ever narrow down even a top 5 list of my favorites. I can say lately I've been into everything Wes Anderson has had his hands on.
I am currently reading Shantaram and it's an amazing story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Completed the cinnamon challenge.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't think I'm wise enough to be teaching anything but I love learning from others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will cook your favorite breakfast in the morning! But it may be more of a brunch as I tend to sleep past 9am. I can also hopefully share a some fun times with a great host!
