I am a mother of two children, a girl (19) and a boy (16). I am married and live in Malibu, CA with my family and three wonderful dogs. I am a Scuba diver, practitioner of yoga, musician, mediator, consultant, and I have traveled all over the world doing my professional work. My daughter does couch surfing and recommends it highly, and a dear friend of mine in Malibu is involved and really enjoys her participation in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I plan to do some traveling soon having to do with revisiting some of the places where I spent time at earlier times in my life in preparation for writing a book about my family ancestry. When traveling I would like to have a more home-like environment as I make my way around, as I've really seen enough hotel rooms for the rest of my life!

Interests

I live at the ocean, and I really don't like being away from the ocean when I am traveling or entertaining guests here. My family history includes four generations in California, preceded on my father's side by long periods of time spent in the South Pacific, mainly Tasmania/Fiji/Kauai. My mother's family is from Sweden.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music except techno and rap.
I especially love jazz (my parents played, so I grew up on jazz) and 60's folk music, which reminds me of great times singing with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've raised two kids without messing them up! A miracle! They are perfectly wonderful people and I love them with all my heart. We hang out together and I keep up with the best of them!

I can teach mediation/peacemaking, yoga and music.
