Hi everyone,

I'm Kutay. 18 years old. About 1.80 m (5' 11") and 73 kg (160 lbs). Black hair, brown eyes... You know, just like an avarage Turkish boy. (except the mole on my nose. It breaks the rules....)

I study Electronical and Communications Engineering at İstanbul Technical University (a.k.a. İTÜ) . I've just started my major lessons because of the English preparation class. Well, İTÜ has a bad reputation because of its difficult lessons and the long and painful way to graduate but you can't gain without pain, right?
That's why, I want to do lots of things before my lessons become harder.

I think I'm a very outgoing and friendly person. My talkativeness depends to the person I'm talking that moment. I can chat and laugh till the morning or be quiet and listen the person in front of me. Thus, I'm a good listener. I'm always ready to listen my friends who want to share something with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a guest,
I have some main purposes to visit different countries. First of them is watching my heroes at concerts before they, you know... DIE. I have no interest with the music of our era and the musicians I listen are all so old. Besides, my country isn't the favorite stop of many bands. In brief, I'm so tired to wait them. Couchsurfing seems a great way to going to the concerts on abroad. Another main purpose of mine is the vinyl fairs. I have a record collection and it's not easy to find what you're looking for in Turkey. There is no such events like vinyl fairs for trading like happens in Utrecht. Finally, I just want to travel and see different cultures, experience new adventures, taste new cousins, and more.

As a host,
Well, I cannot host people actually. I wish I could but I live with my family and their rules, sorry. But I will be so glad if any of you want to meet in İstanbul.

Interests

My biggest interest is the music, I think. I listen to rock, metal, blues and jazz. I like classical music too but I'm not deeply interested like other genres I mentioned. It's a very complicated kind of music and need an education to understand it, I think . But, if any of my friends wants to go a classical music concert with me, I would be so pleased to attend it.

I like watching movies a lot, especially classic ones. I watch new ones, too but they're not giving the same taste, I think.

Lastly, I am nerd a little bit, I guess. I like superhero comics like Marvel a lot. Also, I've started to play RPG this year. I think it's a great way to have fun.
