About Me

My name is Anastasiia and I live in Kiev, Ukraine. I'm 22 years old student. I have master degree on journalism and work in public relations of social and cultural Ukrainian projects. I'm easy-going person who is always looking for new impressions by people I meet and places I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because it's the easiest way to explore the world around you, what is the main sense of our live. But this world, all the countries are nothing without its people. So Couchsurfing gives an amazing opportunity to meet very interesting personalities who can show and tell you about their cities much more, than we can read on TripAdvisor.

Interests

I like traveling, cooking (I can share with hosts really good recipes of Ukrainian cuisine and I'm sure you will like it), reading, snowboarding, playing ping pong, watching movies, playing board games, photography. Also I'm interested in politic, public relations and journalism.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music bands are Alt-J and Foals, and I like listening to indie-rock and post-punk the most. But also I like jazz, blues and reggie.
I've already watched more than 700 movies (oh yes, I'm cinemaddict) and one of my favorite genre in cinema is drama. Movies which excited me the most are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Mommy, La vita é bella and all the movies made by Quentin Tarantino (he's my favorite director).
I like to read Remarque's and Zweig's books the most, but also ones of my favorite books are '1984' by Orwell, 'Gone with the Wind' by Margaret Mitchell, 'Slaughterhouse-Five' by Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I reached the highest point of Ukraine - mountain Hoverla (2061 meters / 6762 ft).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make Ukrainian traditional dish - borsch! It's pretty tasty and easy to cook. Also I can teach you to make a professional make-up (I'm really good in it), playing ping pong and how to laugh during 10 minutes in a row :)
