Just finished A- levels and am currently on a gap year with my best friend Kate. We have been traveling up the east coast of Australia for almost two months (Dec-Feb) and are also going to New Zealand for 6 weeks and Fiji for a week.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On our travels in Australia we were recommended to try couchsurfing and therefore wanted to experience it ourselves and thought that staying with locals would allow us to fully emerse ourselves in the culture around us.

Interests

Frankie: Big lover of books and therefore reading is very important to me. Socializing and meeting new people is something i enjoy the most along with attending day and night markets. Team work is a big part of my life and therefore i enjoy watching and playing sport and participating in numerous activities.
Kate: I have a real interest in languages and traveling and expecially experiencing new cultures. I am extremely sporty but also love to relax and watch movies. Food and cooking has to be an important part of my life, whether it's making dinner for friends or going out to restaurants.

Music, Movies, and Books

Variety of music (anything that makes us dance!) Too many movies to choose from, good old romance to thriller and of course anything that makes us laugh. Books is tricky, love a big twist at the end! Normally read crime and thrillers. Favorite authors consist of Jodi Picoult, Tim Weaver, Malorie Blackman and John Green.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Frankie: Visited The Gambia (west Africa) and helped out in a blind school and hospital.
Kate: Can't think of one thing but just having the opportunities to travel to many places at my age already. I find that pretty special.
