Carpe Diem, that's what makes me jump out of bed each morning. An adventurous person, who wants to discover something new each day. Travelling is on of my favourite hobbies, I try to make short trip every now and then, but every year I make it a must to take a long vacation somewhere new. I am very social and like meeting new people and making new friends.
My day job is that of a trader, but I am an explorer at heart.

Heard about it from a few friends who had been hosts and also couchsurfed, and they highly recomended it. The biggest takeaway for me will be to experience the cities I visit less like a tourist but more like a local experiencing the cuisine, cultures and the lives of its inhabitants. 'When in rome do as the romans do'.
Also I hope to make some new friends and get travel Ideas from those who I host...

Vary as with the night and day, Teaching is one of my passions, I love to swap ideas and get into philosophical debates, another passion is cooking and experimenting with cuisines. Exploring local history is another passion of mine.

My preference varies greatly with my Mood and Company... Some of my favourites include Simon and Garfunkel, REM, Country Music, Tracy Chapman..... basically anything which has a deeper aspect to it.....
A big movie buff.... Love to get my hands on the Classics from the 50's-60's, recently 'The Ship of Theseus' moved me greatly.....
I read pretty much anything I get my hands on.... Both Fiction and Non-Fiction have their place.... Number one on my top 10- George Orwell's Animal Farm....

I love an adventure, and paragliding down the Billing Valley, Himachal, has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

From each vacation I try and gain a new experience whether its getting an adrenalin rush while paragliding down the Billing Valley, Himachal, experiencing the sheer awesomeness of archaeological sites like the Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia, or the pyramids in Giza.... travelling through the harsh cold desert of Leh,Ladakh. Taking part in local festivals/ celebrations.
I have lived many an adventure through my friends who have travelled, but I ultimately hope to check off my own bucket list, off which is have barely completed a portion...
An avid foodie with an adventurous spirit, I love to experiment with local cuisines and if possible take some recipes back with me.

Once we get talking I am sure the conversations will go on for hours. Apart from sharing experiences about Indian culture, society, food (I can cook some, but i am no gourmet chef) and travel tips and experiences. I also like sharing experiences of other places I have visited. Some of my best holiday Ideas have come off sharing experiences with others.
