About Me

I'm 28 years old, currently travelling South America with my girlfriend Georgia spending lots of time attempting to get to know the countries we're travelling in and through. We've been doing a mixture of backpacking and volunteering (eco/permaculture farms and community projects). Thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Currently I'm without a permanent abode and a permanent phone (the number changes as I get a new SIM card in each country) but hoping host couchsurfers when I return to the UK!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, favourite music is difficult - where to begin?
It depends on the mood - at the moment Alt-J is on heavy rotation, along with band of a similar style. Funk and soul is always good for doing the washing up or cleaning the flat. Pretty open minded to music, bit of a magpie.

Movies I definitely like: True Grit (the remake, haven't seen the old one - sorry!), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, There Will Be Blood, Wes Anderson's back catalogue and a ton more that I've forgotten.

Books, Poisonwood Bible and The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver, the Wolf Hall books by Hilary Mantel, Black Swan Green and Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet by David Mitchell, Graham Green novels and again plenty more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Things I've done on this trip that are amazing to me:
Trekking to the Ciudad Perdida in Colombia
Milking a cow for the milk in my tea in Chile
Learning how to drive oxen in Chile
Making sausages from scratch in Ecuador
Seeing a satellite being boosted into high orbit on an astronomy tour!
