About Me

Hi guys. My name is Trang. I'm from Vietnam but currently I reside in Utrecht, the Netherlands for a Master in Business Administration. Before that I lived in Ho Chi Minh, the biggest city of Vietnam. I worked for a bank after uni. To prepare for the study and also to satisfy my travel passion, I quit my job and traveled around Vietnam and countries in South East Asia. Moving to Europe, I want to see more of the world. Besides the Netherlands, I've been to France, Germany, Belgium and Austria. I know it's not a lot so I'd love to explore more. I like making friends and sharing about life or travel experiences. Hope to see you on my way. Cheers, Trang

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I knew about Couchsurfing was when I read a book by Phuong Mai Nguyen, an author/lecturer and professional couchsurfer. Thanks to Nguyen, I changed my perspective about travel. It's not just about pleasure but connection and experience.
More good friends introduced CS to me. Their recommendations convince me to join the network and experience a new way of travel. That's why I'm here, still fresh and new yet eager to try and ready to go!

Travel (of course :)), reading, cooking and yoga. I'm also fascinated by nature landscapes, high peaks, exotic food and rich cultures. Equally appealing is making new friends from different countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad and completely free from home. I came to Utrecht with absolutely no relatives or friends around. At first I thought it would be easy but turned out not really. I must be completely on my own, which I wasn't prepared enough to be. However, things are getting better and I've been learning great things that I guess I would have never got if I had stayed. I've been also making new friends and reconnecting old friends. Living alone taught me to cherish every valuable relationship life has brought to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I find myself a responsible and friendly guest. My previous hosts are happy with how I keep the place tidy and clean during my stay and before I leave. I also enjoy talking about various topics. So if my hosts do not mind, we often share some quality time getting to know each other. I appreciate and enjoy their company very much.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, France, Germany, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand
