Sobre mí

A delightful, charismatic and trying to be funny girl, who loves wine and food and is ready to learn the do's and don't's of travelling the easy or the hard way, as long as it's fun.
I love philosophy, so you know that I'm fun at parties.
Trying to learn french and by 'trying' I mean pathetically trying, but I still have hope that if I stay in the country long enough something is bound to click.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Well I'm planning on doing a gap year in two years time, yes I know I'm a bit ahead of the game here, but let's just call it endearing enthusiasm or that I'm an obsessive planner, either one suits me fine.
My plan is to travel all around the world and I would like to meet locals who could show me their city/town/village, from their favourite drinking place to people watching spot. Two of my favourite activities, just so you know.
Most importantly I just want to make friends, to share an adventure together however short or long it may be.

Intereses

Have I mentioned wine enough yet?
I really like wine, if I didn't make it clear.
I love Youtube and I hopefully will be making a travelling series whilst I travel, once I learn how to use a camera.
I'm currently studying Religion and Theology at university, so I love to talk about philosophy, religion, food. Mainly food and my lack of skill of cooking, but I can make a mean cup of tea.
I love exploring and watching people work, from tourists to locals, I always find people interesting. So, having a cup of coffee and watching the world go by, would be a good afternoon for me. As long as it was a good coffee, I mean.

Música, películas y libros

I love Jazz, folk pop music. My favourite artist at the moment, is a band called 'PostModern Jukebox' who 'jazzify' and 'swingify' modern songs.
Although, I am huge Musical Theatre fan, I have the Grease, Mamma Mia, Wicked and The Producers soundtracks. And if I could have more, I would.
My favourite movie, depends on my mood. Although I'm a sucker for a 'feel good' film, at the moment, it would have to be 'Kingsman' because seeing a badass Colin Firth is always an amazing experience.
Considering my course, we read a lot of malarkey which kinda disinterests you to want to read anything recreationally. However, my favourite book series, would have to Skullduggery Pleasant, who is a talking skeleton who wears a suit.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Once I went to London for some work experience and a friend and I decided to go to a restaurant called 'Dans le noir', where you have your meal in pitch black. Which means you can't see your meal and it's a complete surprise. It was a wonderful and bizarre experience, from amazing food to blind waiters, it was a whole new experience. Alongside this, we were sat next to a couple and after starting conversation we started to try and figure out where were from and what we looked like and what we did. Apparently I sounded obviously northern.
But I would recommend this experience to everyone and argue it would be the perfect first date experience.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Like I mentioned before, I can make a mean cup of tea and I'm willing to share this great skill with anyone willing to learn.
I'm ready to learn from languages to how not to do things in life, I'm arguably quite naive in the whole travelling on my own thing, although not completely. But I'm ready to learn as long as there's no test at the end of it.
But I'm eager to learn about different types of cooking and perhaps I could teach you how to make some classic English dishes, if you know, you're inclined, we may need to google a few things though.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Laughter, if it's laughing at me or with me, I don't mind.
Also, some great drinking stories, I mean this is in two years time and I already have quite a few already, in two years time, I could probably have one or two more.
Also my British politeness, I mean who doesn't want to hear someone say 'sorry' a hundred times a day, it's really a skill in disguise.

Países que he visitado
