Hello! I'm Tian Fu. I'm a Malaysian born in Brunei, raised in Brunei and took my undergraduate studies at Singapore.

Having being raised in a rather conservative country such as Brunei, I've been living my life 'ideally and peacefully'. However, I know that some parts of me wanted to get out of this place and have my adventurous cells break out of me. That's the reason I chose to leave the country to pursue my undergraduate overseas. I'm glad Singapore treat me well with it's vibrant and diverse lifestyle.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I have always dream of myself backpacking to all sorts of places, however I've only done it once and it's just at my own country (Malaysia). In this trip, I've met a friend from US who introduced me couchsurfing that he used last time. I was so fascinated of this idea that I swore to myself that I'll try it at least once. Hence here I am, setting up this profile to welcome the trips and fun I'll be having.

I believe the purpose of backpacking is to experience the local cultures with the locals. This is why I think couchsurfing is a brilliant idea (Thanks to the creators) to meet locals and learn to see the place from the locals' point of view. It is a good chance to train up my courage, my communication skills, my planning as well as my determination.

Intereses

I started bouldering / wall climbing last year and found a lot of fun in it.
I've learned Taekwondo since I started my university.
I like to do sports such as swimming, badminton and tennis (although bad at it)

Went on a rock climbing trip to Batu Caves (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) with my fellow clubmates.

I know three languages - Chinese Mandarin (I know Cantonese as well but not that fluent), English and Malay. I'm happy to teach them.

I would like to learn anything, be it languages, cooking skills etc.
