About Me

Always looking for adventure and to expand my horizons!
I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and the lives of people from all over the world.

My story:
I grew up in a countryside village, love and studied mathematics and physics in Bonn and Heidelberg and worked as a business consultant and programmer in Köln. Now I am a PhD student in Strasbourg working in quantum physics. 2019-2020 I went on an overland trip to India and met wonderful people travelling and couchsurfing.

Never stop being curious!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stayed at a lot of friends' places all over Europe and had some visitors too. It was always great fun!
Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to expand upon this and meet even more people from around the world.

2019 - 2020 I went on a big trip from Georgia to India overland and stayed with many wonderful people. Now that I am back home I want to take guests and give back some of the amazing hospitality I have received while abroad. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite Music
-------------------
Heavy Metal and many of its subgenres! Looking forward to meet metalheads from different countries \m/
But also into some kinds of electronic music.

Favourite Books
-------------------
Math and physics textbooks - just kidding! Although there are some which are really enjoyable, illuminating, mind-wrapping and quite often also mind-wrangling. If you enjoy this kind of things I can only recommend you to read about mathematical logic and the limits of mathematics.

I've read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi books. The witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski is really good. And for sci-fi the novel series Perry Rhodan is fascinating. But nowadays I prefer reading classics from authors like Goethe, Kafka, Solschenizyn, Eco and others. Please recommend me great literature from your country! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Trekking across the Hardangervidda in Norway
- Crowdsurfing during an outdoor Wintersun concert
- Sailing from Rostock to Flensburg around Danish Zealand
- Jumping from the Acre walls into the sea
- Enjoying life in a hippie festival in the Israeli desert
- Seeing phytoplancton at Hormuz Island
- Celebrating Holi in Hampi
- Being fortunate enough to have met my wonderful girlfriend Claudia
