Hey there, Mabuhay! I am Jay from the Philippines and currently based in Chiang Mai. I work as an Advocacy Coordinator for a faith-based organization. My work deals mostly with responding to social issues in a faith-based perspective thus i'm exposed to various socio-political issues and different faith expressions. Specifically i'm handling the project on HIV and AIDS, Gender Justice and Human Sexuality.

My work requires me to travel from time to time but if given the chance i would love to become a full time nomad. I am not a fan of commercialize travelling/tourism coz as we all know, it contributes greatly to the destruction of each others culture and of our mother earth. I practice (whenever possible) sustainable travelling/tourism that encourage us to be good stewards of the creation. So instead of just getting instagram worthy photos, integrate yourself to the local context and be aware.

Travelling makes me grounded. Aside from the beautiful sceneries, what i love most is when i listen to the stories of the people from their struggles to their hopes and dreams. Also, I feel most connected when i'm sorrounded by the natural wonders of the universe ❤️.

I belong to the INFP personality group, a virgo and born in the year of the snake (if you're into that sort 😂). I'm the type of person who wants to take control of everything and works well with systems and structures. I also have too many ideas and big goals in life but still learning to figure out how to actualize it. Travelling gives me the freedom to let go, loosen up and reflect on things. It reminds me to be human, to live at the moment, to have fun, to appreciate little things, to take risks, and to take things slowly. I strongly believe that if its meant to be then it will be, the universe and the Great Divine will conspire.

I am an old soul, free spirited, open-minded and adventure seeker, also i love having discussions about anything from your favorite color up to socio-political things. I enjoy listening to different perspectives. There is so much to un-learn, learn and re-learn. It would be great to meet and make new friends as i/we continue discovering the secrets of the universe and eventually make this world a better place for everyone in the cosmos 😊
