I'm a 20 year old student, currently studying in UNSW, Sydney. I grew up in a small city Sungai Petani, Kedah in Malaysia and I've just left home to study in Australia. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the many reasons why I like to travel is because I want to meet new people and understand the culture of the places that I travel to. Travelling to me does not mean only going to see touristy spots because it rarely leaves you any chance to really meet the people there. So I'm very much interested in the 'couch surfing' idea because I'm hoping to meet more new people and understand what locals do on a normal basis.
