Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing for a variety of reasons. First and for most, I am on couchsurfing because I love stories. I love talking to others and hearing about their lives, what they've done, what they believe in, and anything they are willing to share. I am a big believer in that sometimes it is good to get away from technology and have a conversation with someone else, a stranger. You might make a new friend and you might learn a lot, either about yourself or the world. I think it would be awesome to meet people on my travels and just hear about their lives. Also, a minor reason I am on couchsurfing is because I am a broke college student and this will allow me to travel more than if I had to pay for hotels or hostels everywhere I go. I am hoping that in the future I will be able to host others and continue the conversations with interesting people.

One amazing thing that I have done is that I spent this past summer in Boston, MA working with wildlife at a wildlife hospital and rehabilitation center. It was the opportunity of a lifetime seeing as I got to work hands on with a variety of native wildlife and I was actually doing some of the treatments rather than just watching the veterinarians do them. Also, I spent the summer traveling around Boston with a group of the interns, and we had a blast exploring such a lively city. It really changed me and I learn a lot about myself. A couple of my favorite memories were the raccoons we raised from orphans, the raptors I got to work with, that one time we lost a snapping turtle and then found it, and the releases of the animals back into the wild.
