My name is Marian and I am from Northern Spain (Palencia and San Sebastian). I am currently working in Southern Germany (Heidelberg and Mannheim). I work as a teacher at University... :)
I am a very easy going and open minded person. I am new on couchsurfing but having guests at home is not new for me. My mother and I have hosted friends from 27 countries in Spain over the last 10 years. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to keep meeting interesting people from around the world. And I am going to spend some time in Japan this summer (August 2016)...I would love to get to know Japanese people and learn about Japan as much as I can... :)
I am willing to do couchsurfing in Japan and I expect these couchsurfers to visit me in Europe (either Spain or Germany) whenever they want! :)

Interests

I love traveling. I also love cooking, baking, hiking, swimming and sharing my free time with my family and friends. :) I love photography. I love watching sports and I follow the Spanish soccer league... :)

I love music, especially Rock (Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana...).
As to movies, I love comedies (Woody Allen...).
As to books, it really depends on the mood (Gabriel García Márquez, Henning Mankell, Edgar Allan Poe...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I´ve been to New Zealand and Australia and have spent some months over there. I loved it down under... :) and I loved the feeling of being so far away from home... :) My job there was to take care of Spanish teenagers who were there on an exchange program. We were all hosted by Aussie and Kiwi families and it was a great experience for all of us...Working with young people is awesome. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook Spanish/Mediterranean/European meals for you. I can also teach you some Spanish or German (I am a teacher :) )... I can tell you a lot about Spain, Germany, Europe... :)
I am always ready to party but I also enjoy to spend time at home with some delicious food and a good movie, for example. :)
