27 yo gal, grown in Florida, learned a thing or two in Texas, and found myself in Atlanta about a year ago for hair school.

I love to be outside. I love to hike and explore. It is a wonderful thing, to be exposed to other cultures and ways of life. I've been working my tail off in school for the last year, and I'm almost done. The light at the end of the tunnel? : I would like to travel all around costa rica and experience it my own way for a solid month, at least.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The two separate months I spent it Costa Rica, were on an agenda. I've had other people with me, enjoyed wonderful volunteer opportunities, and got to spend a few days moving along the pacific coast. My Yoga teacher training was a month, which made me feel so beautifully human and pure, didn't allow much time to explore, to wander. It is time for me to wander and see where I end up.

Interests

I am fascinated with this world and I love to learn things and am forever observing and absorbing, trying to understand whats happening on the deepest level of anything that calls to me. I feel like I am here to help, heal, and nurture.
I remember the first time I had to describe myself online, and someone said "you are quite the 'renaissance woman.'"( I actually had to look it up!)

Turns out, they ain't wrong. I have interests and skill sets from opposite ends of the spectrum! From photography to creative arts, apprenticing butchery, to becoming a 200hr Hatha Yoga instructor, (worlds only meat-cutting yogi? haha) and about to graduate the 1500 hour Master Cosmetology course at Paul Mitchell Atlanta (honors program!) ;). I don't see myself as a general salon stylist. I am focused on the science behind hair, on a molecular level with the chemicals used, ( for amazing revolutionary science, look up Olaplex if you're into hair!). I love to teach, and I would love to travel the world and teach yoga, and teach hair science! Why not both?!
