I've been stuck in one place for most of my life and recently thought I would do some travelling to somewhere completely outside of what I've experienced so far. A vacation to see what's out there (specifically in SEA for now).

I'm a motion designer by trade, I studied film production and media production at University in England for 3 years. Got deep into the technical side of shooting film on DSLRs, then focused on editing and animation for a while and finally found that my passion is in 2d and 3d animation. Now I'm focused on getting into 3d rendering and some compositing.

I'm on Couchsurfing for a few reasons. I've heard great things from friends about how friendly and welcoming people are who offer couchsurfing. They've usually done a lot of travelling and experience many different places, people and are ready to give back and that seems like a person you could spend some time with discussing life, the universe and everything.

It's a great way to get a foot in the door of whatever country you're visiting because whoever you're staying with has stayed in the country for a while. Knows the do-s and do not-s.

The transparency of the feedback system adds something to this experience, whereas comments/critiques and etc are sort of iffy on company pages because money is involved. "X hostel is a great place to stay" may or may not be a robot hired to make a comment but because there's no real money involved in couchsurfing, I can probably trust person Z when she says "Fictional Character is a great host. Loves the local area and got me sort the first night there."

At the moment I'm living with my partner at her apartment and she's a lot pickier about who stays over, so at the moment I'm not able to offer my own couches up.

Graphic design, 2d-3d animation (as stated above), dogs (I have a corgi), films (with a preference for intentionally "bad" B-category schlock), I gym 3 times a week but I'm not sure how viable that is while travelling, music is a general term so I've put a list into the "favourite music, movies and books" section.

I read a bunch of sci-fi and fantasy, I've played plenty of D&D and I've far too many hours playing video games (PC). I don't really know what else to say.

I guess I really like learning about a specific aspect of things that interest me for about 2 weeks and then moving on to something new. Lifelong learner of sorts.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Probably conscription. It's 8 months of military training - camping in -20 degrees to being holed up in a ditch in torrential rains, faux-firefighting, strategy application, simulated war efforts, general survivalism.

Estonia has this mandatory conscription service and it's probably the most colourful 8 months of my life.

Also got a dog. That's pretty amazing too but for a whole different range of reasons.

Anything related to graphical and animation creation. Done a lot of photography and filming, some audio editing / creation. Some programming and general problem solving skills.

The rest are just general life skills which are probably applicable on a per-situation basis.

Probably teach you some basic Estonian or English. Or broken (I know a few words and can read fluently but my vocabulary is very lacking) Russian or German. Or maybe some horrible lacking and properly destroyed Swedish, Japanese (I literally know less than 10 words in both languages [if that]).

I am a very mediocre chef. If you have a ukulele, I can pluck a few tunes on it but nothing to call home and tell mom about. My life stories and what life is like in Estonia and what life is like in the UK (I spent 3 years at University there).

My view on life and the Universe, what is aesthetics and why create things. I'm fairly good at telling other people what to do with their lives but I'm currently trying to figure out what I need to do in my own life. A blind spot.

Also trinkets from Estonia probably. Post cards after the fact, fancy hand written lettering.

And probably anything that I've put into the "Teach. Learn. Share" section. I'm great for helping bounce ideas and create something fun and exciting. Fun projects.
