Hello World, I'm Lucas!

I'm half Irish and half Brazilian, born and raised in London. I'm a friendly, open and out-going person. I enjoy to meet new people, from all walks of life, I listen with my eyes...and ears. I've had a modest upbringing, from a hard working family, sometimes you don't need too much to enjoy and experience life.
I'm clean and tidy and understand the importance of 'living together'. I'm very appreciative and trusting with others, I always like to see the good in people and show appreciation and respect in return.
I work as an electrical engineer and have studied Music Production and Sound Engineering. I've tried some other jobs too, like bar work and hospitality. I've also worked as a DJ on weekends in the past, playing all kinds of music in various venues in London.

So its come to my time in life to start travelling and put on my explorer's hat! Many friends and family who've been travelling has always suggested for me to do it. Being a sociable character and giving a lot of time to others, they say it'll suit me well. I've always wanted to explore Europe and find from all the great things people have described to me, Germany is where I should begin. I'm also making it a goal to learn to speak German too, so the best way I've found to learn, is to surround yourself with locals. Who knows, one may find a good teacher along their travels. :)

Since a young age I've always had an involvement with music. Playing various instruments mainly Piano and Keyboard. The older I got, the more I started to veer to making music using computers and software. Nowadays I make all sorts of electronic music, from soundscapes and ambience, to dance music and techno. I also have a strong interest in Photography. Capturing moments, or simply stunning views or artistic/creative styles.
I enjoy good food! It's something I've lived with and am used to. I enjoy trying new things, and cuisines. To learn and share, cooking to me is more a social interaction opposed to a chore.

I enjoy reading, from technical literature to classic novels. Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy is my favourite book of all. Charles Bukowski, Agatha Christie, Arthur C. Clarke, Ian Flemming, Robert Greene, George Orwell, Chuck Palahniuk, Lemony Snicket, Hunter S. Thompson etc.
Too many movies to mention, but The Matrix would be my favourite Trilogy, as well as Quinton Tarantino movies, The Devil's Advocate, anything from Marvel and DC Comics.
I have a wide eclectic variety of music styles and genres I like to listen to. From Bossa Nova and Brazilian music, to Jazz and Blues, 50's/60's/70's/80's/90's/00's. Rock and Alternative to Electronica and forms of underground dance music. Reggae and Dub, experimental, soul and funk. Herbie Hancock being one of my favourite musicians ever lived..Music is my passion. :)

I've been involved with a charity called the Back-Up Trust. It's a charity aimed at people with Spinal injuries. My brother has a spinal injury, so a few years ago we climbed Mount Snowdon in North Wales for an event called the Snowdon Push. My brother was in a modified wheelchair to able to go up hill. Although, it required a team of able bodies to literally pull and carry him up and down the mountain. It was very rewarding and quite a challenge, but it was a great experience nonetheless, I was literally 'Up in the Clouds'.

I have gained a mixture of skills and experiences over the years. The one that sticks out the most which I'm very active with is music, specifically music production. I can teach people how to use music software if one wanted to start recording and mixing music, from using analogue gear to software instruments and programs like Ableton Live which is my favourite to use. I'm fluent and well spoken in English, so if one wanted to develop or learn English, I'm happy to teach. I firmly believe sharing with others is important, I'm passionate about it and believe if there's something I can give to enhance someone abilities, I'll find it rewarding and satisfying to do so.

I'm a very positive and giving person, so everything I've mentioned above I can share with hosts, after all, it would only be a return in kindness to be able to share value with others, it's a great way to build rapport and friendships. I tend to talk passionately, and enjoy hearing on others perspective on life.
