Hi! I'm Yi Chan from Seoul, Korea! I 23 years old student majoring Business administration in Korea University. From March, 2016, I'm going to travel Europe with my friend for 100 days and going to exchange student to England in September. 2016 will be a year for a great experience and opportunity in my life in foreign countries!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm university student and now planning to travel Europe with my friend for 100 days! I love playing soccer. Therefore I'm really excited to watch football games and maybe playing soccer with European people in city park or somewhere. But these are just my imagination and hard to find a place to stay and procedure to get the tickets for the match.
Anyway! I hope to make friends with cool people and share culture, thinkings, etc.

Interests

Definitely Soccer the first. I also like other sports using balls like table tennis, 'jokgu'(Korean sports that are similar to soccer+volleyball). I also love animals, especially birds. Anymals are lovely and I really want to see many cute, friendly animals that are not in my country. I also love K-pop and going to hot spa(Jacuzzi) I hope to see many soccer league, play soccer with Europe friends, meet lovely animals, see fantastic landmarks on your country!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Hiphop, K-pop and New-age. Yiruma, Apink...are my favorite artist. These artists are Korean, so you guys and gals may not be familiar. But I'm really excited to introduce them for you!

My favorite movie is Insideout & zootopia thesedays. Those are not just kids movies. I think it has great message and touching stories that moves our minds. For the best, I love "The Shawshank Redemption, 1994". It deals with human nature and dramatic story that gives hope to many people living modern society.

For the last but not least, my favorite book is "The Education of Little Tree"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to military service for 2 years. (In South Korea, every man has to serve milirtary service about 2 years.) At that year, my favorite soccer player Young Pyo Lee was in MSL(USA, soccer league) and was about to retire after the season. That moment, I thought that after I go to army, I won't have the chance to see my favorite player's real time playing. So I saved money by doing part time job and just a month before the date of my serve, I was able to go to USA for a travel. Finally, I went to his match and also got his autograph! This was the most amazing experience of my life.
