Hey, I'm a teacher in Film Studies in Rouen (Normandy), sharing my time between my classes, my own flat, where I often work, and bars and restaurants where I spent my (too rare) spare time.

As for my place : it's a three-level flat (50 meters square), in the center of the city (rue Eau de Robec) and the "couch" is in fact a mattress that I put next to my own bed or a in tiny spare room if you need privacy. And alas, I can host only one person at a time, as it's kind of tight.

I have a cat, very nice, sometimes sleeping, sometimes being chaotic, so if you aren't too fond of animals maybe it's not the best place for you.

Smoking is allowed in the kitchen ; I myself am a part-time smoker, so during some period there can be a scent of cigarette in the flat.

But if you can deal with the cat and the occasional smoke, you're warmly welcome, and I'll be happy to show you some places if I have time for it.

Interests

My interests answer to all the clichés of the intellectual : books, movies, all this cultural stuff, plus political philosophy and social sciences. But apart from being a worker of the mind, I'm a humain being made of flesh, so I rather enjoy a beer, and often several beers.

Movies : plenty, as it's my job ; but I would say : Sunless, Chris Marker ; Soy Cuba, Mikhaïl Kalatozov ; the movies of Arnaud Desplechin ; Pixar ; Howard Hawks ; Du soleil pour les gueux, Alain Guiraudie.
Theory books : mainly french contemporary philosophy (Rancière, Deleuze, Foucault...) and media studies (Kittler, Galloway, McLuhan...), plus plenty others loves (Jameson, Anderson, for example).
