Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are all in it together on this pale blue dot, yet we are divided by so many things. We are all brothers and I refuse to judge people by anything other than the words coming out of their mouths and their behaviour. What I've learned from travelling is that we are not so different from each other, no matter if we're from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas or Australia. I want to get to know how people live all over the world, the differences and similarities, and share my experiences back home.

Interests

I absolutely love to DJ, and music has got to be my prime passion. I love plucking people's brain on a variety of topics like politics, religion, history, art and especially their lives and experiences. I'd say the best days and nights are just going out for some great food and some wine and beer and just picking each others brain.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dubstep and drum and bass are my main passion but I've also been into rock and metal since the age of 8. Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Led Zep, just too much. I love techno as well, but also classical music. I don't really believe in genres but in the power of the song individually, so by all means share your music.

I don't really read but I can enjoy thought provoking, controversial or just plain hilarious or historic material. The God Delusion and Ozzy Osbourne's biography are examples.

I enjoy any movie with something extra something unique. I love things that required skill to make so I'll be very much down to check out your recommendations. What I love myself ranges from Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarantino to feelgood stuff like Le Intouchables. If you have something good from your own country, I'd love to check it out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I never thought I'd be a traveller so when I decided to do it I fell in love instantly with the sensation of meeting the most amazing people in the world. Nothing stands out, it's all amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am highly interested in history and I would love to share some anekdotes on a wide range of subjects having studied it. I love talking about my country and can't wait to find out about yours. If possible, I'd love to share some Dutch cuisine and I'm trying to learn to cook recipes from all over the world so by all means, teach me yours as well!
