I'm a 53 years old women, married and mother of two young women.
I live with husband and one daughter and a cat in house which is quite close to the Center of Winterthur, but also on one side adjoining a forest and an area of family gardens. We have an own garden and even grow some fruit and vegetables. We have a very friendly old cat.
I work three days a week and for the rest I am caring for home an garden and spending time with making music (classical and some folk music).
I like to be in the nature and prefer to travel with my own energy and using public transport. I'm very much concerned with ecology and do as much as I can to save the climate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a child we yoused to do "big tours" hiking through several regions of Europe espcially the Alps with my father. We used to carry our sleeping bags with us and to just go as far as we could in one day and then look for where to stay for the night. Sometimes it would be a hostel, but often we asked also at farmers or other private people. I have so many good experiences.
Untill now I do not like to find hotels in prospects or in the internet fixing up a hole trip from at home. I prefer going somewhere and planning my holidays day by day beeing there. That's why I am sometimes travelling alone, because this is easier alone. But then I need to meet people at the places I visit and I'm also a little bit shy when it comes to make the first contact....

What games do the children play? (outside - not computer games).
I also like history and espacially prehistorical archeology, but I'm not an expert at all!
